“The best meal I made for someone, is— breakfast, and like, I love, I love cooking breakfast for people. To me, it’s such a nice, start to the morning. I’d make pancakes, eggs... I really enjoy that. It was like that with a previous girlfriend at the time. We loved breakfast together.” Julia Klein

A Look

Julia is adorned in a patterned knit crewneck paired with a lovely piece of adornment necklace and a pair of flared bellbottoms. Embroidery, crochet, and knitting details are incorporated into this look that draws inspiration from the early 1970s aesthetic.

1970s Icon

In the 1970s, shirt patterns became an emblematic expression of the era's vibrant and eclectic fashion. Psychedelic prints, bold florals, and geometric designs adorned both men's and women's shirts, capturing the spirit of the times. These patterns were often displayed on a backdrop of earthy, warm colors like rust, mustard, and avocado green, creating a harmonious blend of nature-inspired hues. Simultaneously, jewelry in the '70s underwent a radical transformation. Statement pieces like oversized hoop earrings, chunky bracelets, and long, pendant necklaces took center stage, often adorned with colorful beads and natural materials like wood and shells. Ready-to-wear clothing became more accessible as the Swinging Sixties morphed into the 1970s. A new generation of synthetic fabrics made it possible to buy fashionable styles at any price.
